Principal's Welcome

Welcome to the Elementary School at Danube International School Vienna. On behalf of our wonderful team of teachers, specialists, and support staff, I am delighted to welcome you into our community. Whether you are joining us for the very first time or returning as part of our DISV family, you are in the right place.

Our Elementary School is a place where children aged 3 to 11 are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and grow as confident, caring learners. Guided by the IB Primary Years Programme, we believe that children learn best when they are curious, motivated, and feel truly valued. Our teachers are passionate about creating learning experiences that connect to each child's interests, spark imagination, and build genuine understanding.

DISV is a multicultural community of 64 nationalities, and that diversity is one of our greatest strengths. Children learn not only from their lessons but from each other — developing empathy, open-mindedness, and a deep respect for the world around them.
