CAS in the DP

Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) is a core requirement of the IB Diploma Programme and one of its most distinctive elements. At DISV, students design and carry out meaningful service projects that engage with real needs in their local and global communities. CAS develops empathy, leadership, and a lifelong habit of responsible action.

Community Partnerships

DISV works with a range of local Vienna organisations and international NGOs to connect students with genuine service opportunities. These partnerships ensure that student projects have real impact and that young people develop a deep understanding of the challenges facing their communities and the wider world.

Elementary Service Projects

Service learning is not limited to Secondary students. Age-appropriate service learning is integrated into PYP units across the Elementary School, encouraging younger students to take action, show empathy, and make a positive difference in their communities from an early age.
